Wax Heaters & Waxing Kits: how to choose the right one

3 min read By the HairRemoval.pk team Updated October 2026

In short

  • There are two kinds of home wax heater: a pot heater (melts hard wax beans or soft wax) and a roll-on heater (warms a wax cartridge).
  • Hard wax in a pot heater needs no strips and is gentler on the face, underarms and bikini line.
  • Roll-on is quick and low-mess for legs and arms, using strips.
  • Wax heaters cost about Rs 1,200–3,000 in Pakistan; a 400 g jar of hard wax beans about Rs 800–1,400.
  • Waxing removes hair from the root, so skin stays smooth for about 3–4 weeks.

Why wax at home?

A parlour wax every month adds up — and you still have to find the time. A home wax heater pays for itself within a few sessions, and you can wax whenever it suits you, in private.

The big choice is pot or roll-on. A pot heater such as the Kemei Salon Pro melts hard wax beans, which set on the skin and lift away without strips — the method many parlours use for the face and bikini line. A roll-on heater spreads a thin, even layer from a cartridge; you press a strip on and pull — quick for legs and arms.

Whichever you choose, the rules are the same: test the temperature on your wrist, spread with the hair growth, and pull fast against it, close to the skin.

01What is the price of a wax heater in Pakistan?

Roll-on wax heaters cost about Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,500 and pot wax heaters about Rs 1,600 to Rs 3,000. Double and paraffin heaters cost more.

02What is a wax machine?

"Wax machine" is another name for a wax heater — a device that melts wax for hair removal at home.

03Which wax heater is best for home use?

A pot heater like the Kemei Salon Pro is the most flexible: it melts hard wax beans for the face and bikini line and soft wax for legs.

04Can I use hard wax beans in a roll-on heater?

No. Hard wax beans need a pot heater; roll-on heaters take wax cartridges.

05How long does wax take to heat?

About 15–20 minutes in a pot heater and 20–30 minutes in a roll-on heater.

06How long does waxing last?

About 3–4 weeks, because hair is removed from the root.

07Is waxing at home safe?

Yes, if you test the temperature on your wrist every time and avoid moles, cuts and irritated skin.

08Do you sell wax refills?

Yes — hard wax beans in 100 g packs and 400 g jars in our wax beans & refills collection.
