Epilators remove hair from the root, so your legs, arms and underarms stay smooth for weeks. In Pakistan you will mostly see five names: Kemei, Philips, Braun, Westpoint and Anex. Here is how they compare — and which one makes sense for you.
Epilator brands compared
| Brand | Typical price in Pakistan | Strengths | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kemei | Rs 1,700 – 5,500 | Great value; kits with shaver heads, foot files, 2 speeds | Many copies online — check the model number |
| Westpoint | Mid-range | Local brand, 5-in-1 deluxe models | Limited models |
| Anex | Mid-range | Local brand, deluxe epilator | Limited models |
| Philips (Satinelle) | Rs 8,700 – 22,000+ | Strong brand, wet & dry models | Expensive |
| Braun (Silk-épil) | Rs 8,000 – 28,000+ | Premium build, many heads | Most expensive; fakes exist |
What really matters in an epilator
- Two speeds — low for sensitive areas and beginners, high for legs.
- A shaver head — for the bikini line and days you do not want any pain.
- Cordless time — about 40 minutes per charge covers both legs; a model that also works plugged in never stops halfway.
- Extras — a foot file and loofah pad add real value.
- Genuine model number — real Kemei boxes print it clearly (for example KM-6198B, BS-903, KM-519A).

Is a branded epilator worth 3–5 times the price?
Philips and Braun are well built and some are waterproof, but for removing hair on legs, arms and underarms a good Kemei kit does the same basic job for a fraction of the price. If budget is tight, spend on a Kemei kit with two speeds and a shaver head, and use the savings on a facial remover for the face.
How to get the best results
- Exfoliate a day or two before.
- Epilate on clean, dry skin, hair about 2–5 mm long.
- Hold the skin tight and move slowly against the hair growth on the low speed.
- Soothe with aloe gel; avoid sun and hot baths for a few hours.
